On April 26, an SGI (Soka Gakkai International) delegation led by Soka Gakkai Vice President Tamotsu Sugiyama met with representatives of the Inter Press Service (IPS). The meeting was held in New York City. Farhana Haque Rahman, senior vice president of IPS, who participated online, and Naureen Hossain, IPS’ chief correspondent, attended the meeting along with Katsuhiro Asagiri and Kevin Lin of the International Press Syndicate (INPS). The meeting reaffirmed a shared commitment to strengthening global awareness of the need for nuclear disarmament, promoting the SDGs and ensuring that marginalized voices are heard, through their ongoing joint media projects.
